First Time in San Francisco: Tech and Food
Just last month, I got to visit San Francisco for the first time with my close friend. Before that, I honestly was not aware of all the amazing food there. I never really got to go until now.
I’ve always heard of it as the big tech area where all the big UX design and product conferences are held. When we drove by SAP, Prezi’s office, Salesforce HQ, Yahoo!, and more, I was so excited. Sadly, I didn’t have the chance to visit those places. I saw billboards with well-designed promotions for the latest tech services and products as well. Lots of flat design going on there. As someone passionate about products and UX design, it was nice being surrounded by such a strong tech and startup scene.
My trip was not just about visiting the main attractions such as the Golden Gate Bridge but also eating a lot of delicious food. We had boba, bar food, BBQ meat, fast food, dim sum, and so much more. I usually try to be as healthy as I can but this time I let myself indulge on the variety of foods there. Since this is my portfolio site, I don’t want to get too carried away with food. If you’re a food enthusiast like me, visit my Instagram for more!
The main purpose for sharing this experience was that it got me closer to where the latest design trends, tech, and action was happening. Although I’d only get to visit once in a while due to personal reasons, it was an eye-opening experience. I continue to follow and read about the newest creations, strategies, and design languages out there.
