Improve efficiency for recruiters when using the applicant tracking system by expanding technical capabilities to help reduce cognitive load. Additionally, simplifying and condensing complex interactions.

THE PROJECT

Terminal 1 is Hong Kong’s only tech-empowered recruitment firm. The team of world-class recruiters and technologists work to deliver efficient and cost-effective recruitment solutions to connect clients with strong technical candidates around the globe. I was pleased to be a UX/UI Designer abroad in a diverse team and help design the experience and interface of Terminal 1's products.

I worked with the product and engineering managers and teammates to build and improve the interface and experience of our applicant tracking system. I designed product mockups and prototypes based on recruiters' needs, workflow and use cases. Refinements were also implemented from user tested insights from recruiters and entire team after weekly research meetings and stand ups.

I also helped heavily with the information architecture, design system, and style guide for the web app and website. I had an amazing time with my team and received a lot of positive feedback from recruiters who tested the prototypes and continued to use them live on the applicant tracking system.
