My company that I was a co-founder of is a highly demanded and exclusive eCommerce Mentorship Agency helping ambitious and aspiring entrepreneurs launch and grow their eCommerce business. As a co-founder, I am passionate about teaching entrepreneurs how to build a profitable Shopify store and successfully launch their businesses. This is also my third business started and we even grew our team to over 10 people globally as we become a 7-figure business impacting 100+ global entrepreneurs!
THE CHALLENGE & HOW IT STARTED
Upon returning from my last design role abroad, I had started a strategic design agency along with my co-founder. After working with multiple eCommerce clients, we took the leap into the eCommerce space together. From testing various marketing and online store strategies, we built several Shopify stores and brands that hit 6-figure months.
After speaking on Clubhouse, we discovered that many people had wanted to learn eCommerce themselves, especially during the pandemic. However, there was limited resources and hands-on guidance for many beginners. From there, along with my two other co-founders, we started the agency, with the mission of empowering eCommerce entrepreneurs to create great opportunities for a digital world. In the past 2 years, we’ve impacted 100+ entrepreneurs globally through our social media channels.
MY ROLE
Besides being a co-founder, I also took on the role as Design Director for a few years, overseeing the design, brand, marketing strategies, and everything design related. I helped build out many highly converting websites, landing pages, and funnels that brought in 5 to 6-figures a month. My goal was to bring our brand vision alive and help build out a memorable client journey and experience from start to finish.
At the beginning, I built out multiple Shopify stores and brands, as well as crafted the powerful brand that we currently have. I also helped put together our client journey maps, marketing funnels, and landing pages, ensuring each touchpoint was on-brand and positive. From our success in impacting 100+ entrepreneurs, we were able to expand our team and I managed a team that consisted of a Shopify designer, social media strategist, and copywriter. We also have a 90% client satisfaction rate and 4.5/5 ratings!

CLIENT JOURNEY
By mapping out the client journey, I could understand which touchpoints our client avatar has with our brand and where we can intervene to resolve any pain points. We constantly gathered feedback through surveys and DMs from people discovering our service and also clients who have learned our course and experienced our service.

THE BRAND
Our brand vision is to empower other people around the world to start their own ventures. We are passionate experts within our domain and want to help them overcome obstacles in getting started within the eCommerce space. We care about each mentee in our program and community. The red resembles passion and the black is sophistication as an exclusive mentorship program. The font, Impact, is a bold font that showcases that we do not hesitate to reach out and provide support to help others reach their goals.
ONLINE TOUCHPOINTS
As my team and I mapped out the client journey, we wanted to first develop a client persona of young adults seeking financial freedom or starting a side hustle. From there, it helped us pinpoint the channels they would be discovering us from. Then we would have other touchpoints such as support outreach, website, and podcast.
Once they were interested in becoming our clients, we mapped out our onboarding, communication methods, learning and mentorship experience, and offboarding. Along each step, we consistently collect feedback to make improvements. From our dedication to client success, we receive a lot of positive feedback and our program is highly demanded.
MAIN WEBSITE: The very first website I designed was through Clickfunnels. After further analysis on the experience, we wanted to make it smoother and I worked with a web developer to build out a new website from additional feedback. Our new website focuses on communicating key information on our program and providing resources, while building a connection with viewers through our personable story.
LANDING PAGES: To attract new clients to our program, we put together multiple funnels each with its own valuable resources. We love to share tips with beginners and help new entrepreneurs, while building rapport with them. Each landing page has gone through various iterations, from layout to content changes, to test further and improve conversion rates.

A/B TESTING & ITERATIONS
By tracking the heat maps and mouse clicks with Hotjar, we were able to put sections that people interacted with more higher up. For example, we moved the testimonials section up higher after seeing that people were looking for this information more than other sections. This helps us optimize our website to capture more attention and become more credible. It also makes it much easier for people on mobile to see the most important parts.
Additionally, there was continuous optimization on mobile after discovering that majority of people browse our website and funnels through mobile. I added in extra buttons to sign up for our email list within the mobile experience and made the text and images bigger as well.
REFLECTION
The impact I was able to make on the community has been very fulfilling. We were able to help over 100+ entrepreneurs globally and also provide a positive experience for them to learn about eCommerce. Reading through all the 5-star reviews we receive from our clients as one of the top mentorship programs has definitely been the highlight of my journey! I continue to strategize for the business while practicing design and applying my learnings to enhance our clients’ satisfaction and success.
This was a great experience, however, I found myself more passionate to continue building my design career further in a bigger team. Nonetheless, this was an amazing experience and I was really able to see the power of positive client experiences and user-friendly designs and how it can impact the success of a business.
